'Writing another letter to your boyfriend, Peach?'

Peach heard the evil king's retort and turned to see him; he was quivering with a fiery rage. "No, it's... no I just--"

Bowser grabbed the princess' arm roughly, yanking her to her feet. His eyes were burning with anger. "You just what?!" He moved his hand back to hit her, but thought better of it, and threw her to the ground instead - grazing her arm. "Your pathetic little 'hero' is as good as dead, and you'd best forget him! You will either submit to me, or you will rot here - either way, I win!" He roared, stomping the pencil on the floor and shattering it, shaking the very foundations of the cell.

"And gimme that!" Bowser grabbed the paper that Peach was still clutching. "As for your petty note-passing..." He read over the letter silently, then gave a deathly glare. Looking the princess dead in the eye, he shred the paper with his brutish claws, and threw it into a torch on the wall. "Mario won't be hearing another word from you. Mario--" He spat as though the name itself tasted bitter, "-will be killed the next time I lay eyes on his miserable, weak little self."

He collected the stashed-away life mushrooms and stormed out of the room, leaving Peach to sob in the corner.


So, you know those letters Peach sends Mario in the games? I bet Bowser's seen her send one or two of them, and hell hath no fury like a jealous Koopa! Yes, I do protray him in an incredibly dark light... dark light? wait, can that happen? XDD anyways, I'm not the type to believe he's soft on prisoners... maybe he is on Peach sometimes, but not in this case!

Really had fun with the effects here I don't think it's my best illustration - not superbly pulled-off by any means... but I like the idea and the colouring turned out okay nice and murky!
